frenZINE Booklet – Printversion

[d] Das erste frenZINE ist im Jahr 2003 entstanden: issue #1 Black&White. Ein online Magazin, welches ich als Plattform für meine Arbeiten und zu Beginn als Experimentierfeld für Animationen benutzt habe. Es sind Einblicke in Themen und Techniken, die mich jeweils beschäftigen.
Die erste Ausgabe, welche ich auch auf Papier reproduziert habe war: issue #18 – Ireland. Die Illustrationen sind nach einer Reise in Irland entstanden und wurden mit Zitaten aus dem Buch von William Wall: This is the country ergänzt. Das Buch lag auf dem Tisch im Hotel Paradiso in Cork, welches auch die Heimat des Autors ist. Der Autor hat mich nach Veröffentlichung dieses frenZINE’s kontaktiert und mich um eine Druckausgabe gebeten. Somit war das erste Booklet auf Papier entstanden, welches ausschlaggebend war für die weitere Entwicklung:
Seit der Ausgabe: issue #20 – Polaroid gibt es soweit keine Animationen mehr, der Fokus liegt auf den gedruckten Heften. Die untenstehenden Booklets sind in limitierter Auflage bestellbar:

[e] The first issue of frenZINE: issue #1 Black&White came out in 2003. A online magazine to show my work and in the beginning used as a plattform for experiments in animation. Every frenZINE has a theme and reflects my interests in topics and techniques at the time.
The first issue I reproduced in print was: issue #18 – Ireland. The drawings were developped after a trip to Ireland, accompanied by quotes of the book: This is the country by William Wall. I found the book on a table in the Hotel Paradiso in Cork, which is also the hometown of the author. After publishing the frenZINE he contacted me and asked me for a printed version of the booklet. Thats how the first version on paper came to life and initiated the future developpement:
